Hi everyone I need to buy a fairly cheap laptop for the CA3 exam and would like to know which ones people have used that meet the institutes standards. Could you also include how much it costs as well as where to buy it from please? Many thanks
That's a bit like saying "I need to take my driving test - can you tell me which car to buy and where to buy it from"!! If the only reason you need one is for CA3, I suggest you use one at work or borrow one, and avoid the expense of buying. If you're buying, make sure it's got MS Office and a webcam. After that, it's just a question of budget. I think you can get laptops these days for under £300 that are pretty decent (personally, I like HP and Dell, but it's a question of taste). Don't get an Apple Mac as the IFoA software doesn't work on it. Hope this helps Pede
