Is CT9 mandatory before CA1 in IAI?

    Hello everyone,

    Can anyone please let me know if one needs to pass CT9 before attempting CA1 from the Institute of Actuaries of India? I know that there is no such requirement in the IFA.

    I believe they follow the same system as the UK...

    That used to be the case till last year - but they changed it. You don't have to complete CT9 before attempting CA1 or the ST/SA papers.
