Thanks for your answer. Is it true that CT4 notes are in general easy to understand, but the exams are of low quality? So it makes sense to take say 3 exams next sitting (as there's about 6 months from now to next April)? The reason I ask is that I get the impression that no matter how hard you study, some low quality questions will be able to fail you. So why not just take as many as possible and let luck decide?

I sat my exam last April, and it was a fairly doable paper. I think September's paper was harder, but still not as 'out there' as previous papers. So maybe the Institute have copped on and started asking more realistic questions that actually relate to the syllabus. It's too early to tell. I definitely think CT4 is the longest of the CT subjects though, so if you're taking 3 (like I did) be prepared to do a LOT of study.
Which 3 did you do? Did you pass all of them? How much study did you do each night and in the weekend?
I did 2, 4 and 6 and passed all 3. I spent a very disproportionate time on CT4 though. I studied a lot, most evenings and most weekends, especially after Christmas. A lot of people I know sit and pass 3, so it's not that uncommon. Some people I've worked have taken 4-one guy I know passed 5 last April. PM me if you've any questions/
CT8 is most definitely the hardest. My ranking of the subjects (by difficulty) is as follows: CT8 CT4 CT6 CT5 CT3 CT1 CT2 CT7
