Investment Industry in last 18 months

    I will be sitting ST5 for the third time in September :eek: . I need to pass.

    The examiners reports always recommends to get to grips with what has been happening in the 18 months leading up to the exam.

    Credit crunch apart, what do people think are the hot topics?:confused:

    I work in pensions so I would welcome some input from those that actually work in the investment field.

    Quick point: I may be incorrect here, but aren't the exam papers set in the September/October of the year prior to the year of the exams? In this case the exam could only test on events that occurred up to October 2007. Please correct me if this is incorrect - it's potentially quite an important point.
