in question 5.9 of FAC pack how did we find the two consecutive values in which x lies? i could not understand it!!

1. in this solution we find two consective integers such that value of function with first integer is <0 (i.e. R.H.S.) and value of function with another is >0 so that we can be sure that in between of those integers; x lies.

2. trial and error method is used here, you might start with 0
& 1, then 1 & 2 etc and same with 0 & -1 so on till you find 3 such pairs.
