    Hi
Is it possible to pass the exam by only studying the course notes(along with revision booklets) and doing relevant past papers? How important is the textbook?
Also, the description of Revision Booklets says that Core reading is given in Q&A format. Since the core reading of CT7 is in the form of a textbook, how are the CT7 Booklets designed? Does it include whatever is covered in the textbook(Economics by Johm Sloman)?

As the Core Reading for CT7 is primarily the textbook, this section does not exist in the CT7 Revision Booklets.

All the other sections are included though, including:

    Overview
    Brainstorm
    Question Analyses
    Past Exam Questions and Solutions
    Factsheet
    Checklist

    I hope this helps :)

    Thanks!
Do you think that a candidate can pass the exam by studying the course notes and Revision Booklets? There are various posts in the forum that say that the course notes were succinct and covered everything in the textbook.
Also are the bookwork and essay questions based on the textbook?

I think that some students are able to pass the exam just using the Course Notes and the Revision Booklets - particularly those who have studied economics before, however I don't think this would be true for everyone.

You will probably need to find your own way with this one. You could try starting off with the Course Notes and the Revision Booklets and if there are any bits that you're still confused about, then refer back to the textbook. Equally, when you try questions, you might feel that you're weaker in certain areas, and then you could read the textbook to develop your knowledge of these topics.

All of the exam questions should be based on what's in the textbook, and the vast majority of this will be in the Course Notes. However, occasionally questions have been asked that have been based directly on something that's in the textbook but not necessarily in the Course Notes - for example in some of the boxes in the textbook, or the "Pause for thought" questions.
