Due to the problems students are facing with the Indian exam papers, I'm going to post up an exam review on YouTube like the ones I did for IFA papers here.

I'm a specialist in CT1, CT3 and CT6 - which one would you most like from the Nov 13 papers?

    Wow

    First of all
Thats so great. I have seen ur reviews and I always thought we needed one like those.

So, thanks and about the exam, I guess with the passing rate so low in CT3, I would like to see that paper reviewed if possible.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Joel

It definitely looks like most IAI students need a lot of help with CT3

CT 3 is the perfect choice.

    My goodness!

Just starting doing the Nov 13 IAI CT3 paper last night. I'm surprised that even 10.5% of students were able to pass....

I'm still looking at solutions and getting around 59

I'm still wondering whether the passing marks in India is really 50?? :( :(

    I got a FB

I think IAI doesn't give credit to even part marking for example in Q3. My part 1 is not correct , but I think we can get part 2 without solving part 1 as part 2 says expectated value.

Slight confusion in 8th part 1, decision process should be to invade the country or not
H0: theta=1 ;H1: theta >1 as in the case of more than 1 nuclear weapon country would be invaded or Ho: theta <2 to H1: theta >=2

Sorry about your result. I also think that pass mark is higher than 50.
Getting 50 in any CT-exam is not that difficult.

But part marking is there in IAI exam. It's not all or nothing!

In Q8, Country B invades Country A if they found at least one nuclear plant in which nuclear weapons are being made.

    So,

\(H_0 : \theta = 0\) (Country A does not have any nuclear weapon producing plants)
\(H_1 : \theta > 0\) (Country A has at least one nuclear weapon producing plant)

    HI Suraj

"If any of the two investigated nuclear plants is found to produce nuclear weapons, country B will invade country A"

Doesn't it mean that if more than one 1 nuclear plants are found by country B then only it should invade? (The word two is confusing).

Why more than 1? If nuclear weapons are being made in any one of the country A's nuclear plants, that would mean country A's intentions are wrong.

AND if the agent finds at least one plant (of the 2 which he has decided to investigate) in which nuclear weapons are being made then Country B will invade Country A.

Just to say that I have now recorded this (all 100mins) but need to cut it down to a manageable size (15-25mins). I should finish this today but I'll need to go to the office to upload it to YouTube.

So this should be Thursday. I'll let you all know the address when it's done.
