    I+G+B+X=S+T+Z, what is B all about?

    Some of the exam answers, gives B...

    What is that?

    B = Benefits from the government and forms part of your total disposable income.

    so Yd = Y + B - Td

    Yes, B is benefits.

    B used to be in the Core Reading explicitly, but it's now been taken out. Benefit payments are now treated as a negative tax in the Course Notes.
