I was wondering if any of you developed any groovy mnemonics for learning the material for the CA1 exam. It could be of use to future students. For examples, here's a good one for Contract Design (Ch 34 and 41 combined):

    Administration
    Marketing
    Profitability
Level and form of the benefits
    Extent of cross subsidies

    Discretionary benefits
Interests and needs of customers and other stakeholders
    Regulation
    Early (benefits taken)
    Competition
    Terms and conditions

    Financing requirements
    Accounting
    Consistency with other products
Timing of premiums/contribution and charges vs expenses
    Onerousness of options and gtees
    Risk characteristics
    Simple to understand

I'd like to post them...... but they're just too rude!

  3. Yeah - I've found that the more vulgar the mnemonic I come up with is, the more likely I am to remember it!
