There's plenty of words we are not supposed to use in this exam (e.g. "regarding" becomes "about" etc). One thing from practice questions that surprised me was the common use of the word "actuary".

Now call me pedantic, but how many of the general public know what an actuary is? Perhaps this should be replaced with financial professional or something similar in the exam?

What do you think?

I'd go on past experience and say don't deviate. If you told you are an actuary and feel you must mention your capacity, don't change it.

At the end of the day, you are explaining concepts in laymans terms, not roles.

so i imagine one day in CA3, they may make you assume the role of an accountant ..
and then any large failure rate (i.e appox 60%) will be used to say that it's not just actuaries who can't communicate, but now its accountants too! lol
