   Question 3.10 of chapter 3 is to write down the mean of the Burr distribution, given the CDF.
   
   I dare say I could crunch through the algebra to show what it is, but the "write down" has me stumped. Why can it be written down directly?

   It's because it's on page 15 of the Tables rather than because the CDF is given.
