Examples in Audit Trail and Summary

Hi

I have been putting examples of the calculations being performed within the spreadsheet in both the audit trail and summary to help with explaining the calculations within each sheet (audit trail) and the approach taken (summary).

Is this okay or would it be recommended not to include examples?

Thank you

Audit trail is ok (to the extent that it helps make clear your description of the methodology), but not necessarily required. For the summary, it shouldn't be there. Remember your audience - you're aiming this at a senior actuary. Unless there's something really complicated going on which you think is outside what a senior actuary would normally be exposed to (which is unlikely in CA2), he should be able to pick up & understand what you're saying without resorting to an example.
