Empirical Bayes Credibility Models 1 & 2

Past paper questions on credibility theory seem to focus a lot on these models. Are they still examinable in ST8? The emphasis in the ST 8 chapter on credibility theory seems quite different and I'm not sure whether to spend time learning EBCT models 1&2 as well (e.g. is it assumed knowledge now from Core Technical?)

Officially, all the material from the CTs is potentially examinable in the later subjects including ST8, but it’s best to focus on what’s probable. The details of the EBCT models were in the Core Reading for ST3 (and hence were examined) but are now in the CT6 Core Reading. Details of these models are not given in the ST8 Core Reading. In terms of credibility theory, I’d focus on what is in Chapter 18.

Hope this helps
