Emphasis on Solvency I or II?

Given that Solvency I is going to be replaced by Solvency II sooner or later, how much emphasis should be put on Solvency I content? And how useful are the past exam questions related solely to Solvency I?

Thanks,
Michelle

Now that Solvency II has been delayed until 2016 (or even later?), we have the 2012-2015 year ends to get through, based on Solvency I.

So I would say that it's still essential to understand the current solvency regime for a good few years yet. Exam questions could still test knowledge of either regime, or both regimes.

Past questions on Solvency I are still very useful to practice, but I would expect the answer to be given today to be updated to reflect knowledge of forthcoming changes. For example, when pricing, I would allow for capital requirements based on Solvency I+ for the next few years, but changing to Solvency II requirements thereafter.
