Discontinuance of hardcopy of the Actuary

Hi everyone,
I wanted to have your point of views in the mail sent by the IFoA today that Student members will no more receive The Actuary magazine. I am an international student, and someone who personally does read the hardcopy as well as softcopy. Because of COVID-19, we have paid huge fees both to April and September exam fees even though cost of hiring venues and sending papers to international countries have been zeroised. Now, the membership fees for the forthcoming year is the same amount as last year, but if the hardcopies of the Actuary are being discontinued, i wonder what's the reason of paying huge membership fees, on the basis, if the IFoA library and the Actuary magazines and all services are purely online.

Looking forward to hearing some thoughts and feedback.

I had exactly the same thoughts.
I really don't see the reason why students have to pay such high membership fees. How other societies do not charge any?
Is it for the services that we (don't) get?
