Difference between IBNER & IBNR, how to determine and adjust IBNER?

    :( What is IBNER? How does it differ from IBNR?

    How can we determine if there is IBNER in your data?

    How do we adjust for IBNER?

    Covered properly in ST7. IBNER and IBNR both defined in Glossary.

    Basically the E stands for enough.

    So if you have a known potential claim with an estimate and you get more detail of the liability you set some more aside if you realise the initial estimate wasn't adequate.

    Can also be too much, ie IBNER can be negative.
