    Hi,

Not that hedge funds are in the exam material but I'm trying to make sense of the subject.

Hedge funds are sometimes traded, they can be close ended and invest in whatever they want.

    Am I wrong?

    Thanks,

    Jonathan

A hedge fund can be close ended and therefore traded (like Pershing Square Holdings on the Amsterdam exchange) or open ended. Most are open ended (with various lock-up periods, restrictions etc.).
