    Hi,

Can I just establish what the derivative of v is?

    I assumed that as v=1/(1+i), the derivative of v would be -1/(1+i)^2 i.e -v^2.

However, based on what I'm seeing in an ASET paper solution, it doesn't look like this is the case, unless I'm not following something correctly.

    Can I just establish this?

    Thanks

    Yes that's correct.
By all means reference the past paper question so that we can help with that (or check for a mistake).
    Thanks
