Degree of freedom

Discussion in 'CT3' started by Aditya mohan mathur, Nov 9, 2016.

  1. In chi-square or t-tests, we know the degree of freedom represents the number of values free to vary in statistic.

But how to interpret it in ANOVA, as we have 2 df's here.
Like what does the 2 degrees represent?

They represent the degrees of freedom for each of the two groups. Usually this is n-1 for each.
