Just wondering about the case where a scheme provides a guarantee period and a spouse's pension for life.
Do you find cases where the spouse's pension for life, of say 50% ,starts immediately on death, even if it's still within the guarantee period.
If there is a lump sum benefit option (ie the remaining payments of the guarantee period all at once), is this option still offered if there is a spouse's pension for life? When does the spouse's pension start?
