Can someone give an indication of what the main current issues are that we would be expected to know about? For example, LIBOR fixing etc.

This is really tough, because there are so many, and ST5 only picks on a current issue from time to time. (Its better to spend time on the course than on current affairs). But I suppose the issues pover the last few years would be: LIBOR (but its hard to make a question out of this as it was very specific), debt write off for Greece where private investors had to take a 75% write down, quantitative easing as it is still propping up the markets and it is in the course, splitting banks into retail and wholesale?, bank bonuses and high pay in general, role of interest rates and the economy. There may be more but it is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Hope this helps
