CT8 w/o CT7?

What are views on CT8 without CT7.
Am typically not from economics background.

I am from Economics background and have cleared CT7. Currently I am preparing for CT8.
According to me there is nothing to worry about appearing for CT8 without preparing for CT7. The concepts dealt in CT7 are not in any relation with CT8. There is only one chapter i.e. chp 2 which talks about Utility theory which borrows a leaf out of Business Economics. Hence, there should not be any difficulty in dealing with CT8 without the knowledge of CT7, per se.
