I am able to get the 3rd edition of the textbook not the 4th edition.

How different is the 3rd edition of the textbook different from the 4th edition of the textbook from the preparation point of view for the Actuarial Exam.

Well the second author is different on the 3rd (Sutcliffe) than the 4th (Hinde) which suggests a reworking. - otherwise Sutcliffe might have considerable cause for complaint! :)

Having said that I have a 2nd edition and a 4th and many of the chapters have the same titles - so perhaps Sutcliffe is consulting his lawyers as we speak!

But reading from 3rd edition instead of 4th edition will effect my preparation in any way.

I've no idea I passed this ages ago when it was the old syllabus - I only bought the books because I'll probably have to teach it at some stage. I'll let you know then!
