In part (iii) C=2 My doubt is C is always a function =max f(x)/h(x) So in what significance C is considered maximum with value 2 Regards Sunil
In part (ii) they show that \( f(x) \leq 1 \) and in part (iii) we want to use a rectangle from 0 to 2, ie a U(0,2) which has PDF h(x) = 1/2. Hence C = max f(x)/h(x) = max f(x)/(1/2) = max 2f(x) which from part (ii) must be 2.
