Hi,

I have a query in Q&A Bank part 1, question 1.2, part (iv) and part (v).

In part (iv), what is that expression of 'e' with a '0' or 'o' over it? What does it stand for?

In part (v), how did we arrive to the formula where E(T60) becomes (e60 +0.5)?

Thanks for your help!

Regards,
Shyam

iv) \( e^{\circ}\) is expected future life time after age x. i.e. \( E\left[T_x\right]\)
v) it is just approximation. \(e_{60} + 0.5\) where \(e_{60}\) is curtate expected future lifetime.

Thanks a lot for the help!
