Dear, If any body can Integrate this Integral 0 to x 2 Px expo-Px^2 dx P is a Positive constant Regds, Santhosh Chandrasekhar
Hint - Integration by parts Hi Santhosh, I think that you'll need to use Integration by parts. I've ran through it very quickly and got an answer of, (-1/2p)*{exp(-p*(x^2))}*(x+1)+(1/((2p)^2) I'll stress that I ran through it really quick so could quite easily have made an algebraic error. However, if you use Integration by parts on the original problem you should be just fine.
i know notation seems difficult to comprehend given this is a text screen and not an equation editor. but to me it seems like this is one of thsoe you can do buy insprection i.e make sunstiution (-Px^2) to get -exp (-Px^2) + c maybe you can clarify notation.
agree with exam student. and if you want the integral between 0 and x (and since exp(0)=1) then you get 1-exp(-px^2)
