Hii all, plz help me with followings queries:
    •As [N(0,1)]^2 = chi square dist. with dof 1
and normal dist. is symmetrical and chi-square is positively skewed. So.. square of symmetric is positively skewed?
    • How to comment on skewness using boxplot? I mean by seeing the whole boxplot or by using only the box ? I have uploaded an image plz explain which is positive skewed and which is symmetrical?

  2. I think thhe first one is positively skewed as the left side area is more saturated then the right side.
The second pic is obviously symmetric as both the areas have equal saturation.

So.... this means we consider the area of box only to see the shape.?

I would say both are positively skewed - because I consider the whole diagram....
