CT3- revision notes

    Hii all, I have some doubts in revision notes 1 part as follows:-
    • practical qus 12- I think there's a mistake in solution ..prob. of N> 2 should b equal to 1 minus prob. of N less than or equal to 2 rather than 1.
    • past exam qus. 46- part (I)(b) comment on shape- how we can cmnt on the shape using values of mean and standard deviation?? Plz clarify
    • Revision notes part 2- past exam qus.2 part (i) the Cs(t) should be= lambda[ Mx(t) -1] .. I think log Mx(t) is written by mistake.

    You are correct. I will get this put in our corrections document.

    Since standard deviation is bigger than the mean and the gamma is always positive - this means the spread must be on the positive side of the mean. Hence positive skew.

    Oops! yes you are correct. I will get this in the corrections document as well. Thanks for pointing these out. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
