    Hii all,
    •As [N(0,1)]^2 = chi square dist. with dof 1
and normal dist. is symmetrical and chi-square is positively skewed. So.. square of symmetric is positively skewed?

Not always true. It depends on the shape of the distribution. In N(0,1) dist., most of the area is between -1 and 1 so when you square it, the resultant distribution (which is chi square with dof 1) has most of the area between 0 and 1 and remaining from 1 to infinity. That's why it is positively skewed.
