Hi, In exam for random number simulation of binomial and Poisson distribution. Is it appropriate to write directly seeing by table?? Do we have to make it inverse function first as required for other distribution since not given in table?? Please suggest
You can't use the inverse function method as there is no CDF formula to inverse (hence why it is not given). So using the probability tables is the correct method. You would be wise to show the marker some working though.
