    Hii all
How to derive the MLE of distributions having 2 parameters. Like derivation of MLE of binomial distribution for estimating n ( I am comfortable in estimating p ).
    Plz anyone rply asap.

You just use partial differentiation for each parameter and equate each part to zero.

However, you will not be able to do this for n from the binomial as it will require differentiating a factorial!

The only distributions that are do-able on a piece of paper for both parameters are the normal and lognormal distributions.

Yes, because the exam is tested on paper.
