CT3+CT6 straight after CT1

    Hi all

    I'm working for a P&C reinsurance firm and taking CT1 this April. They've told me that CT6 is very useful for GI and I should take it as soon as possible.

    The student handbook says:

    "CT6 – Statistical Methods assumes knowledge of CT3 and CT4"
    <snip />
    "Anyone working in general insurance may prefer to take CT6 at any stage after studying CT1"

    Assuming all goes well with CT1 in April, I was thinking of taking CT3 and CT6 in October. I would be grateful if GI students could indicate whether they think taking CT6 before CT4 is a good idea.

    Many thanks

    Jon

    Agree with Anon2's succinct reply. The most important prerequisite for CT6 is CT3 (or equivalent knowledge of statistical distributions) imo. Don't think your proposed approach will cause you problems. The bits covered in CT4 core reading will get refreshed in the CT6 ActEd text so as long as you've got the full notes rather than just core reading then you'll have everything you need.
