Page 9 Basic test - single sample For unknown Sigma There is t test statistic given But it is also mentioned that for large sample N(0,1) can be used in place of t. How large this sample size could be in this case? And yes using t test would be appropriate. Please confirm is it correct??
If you look at the t tables on page 163 of the Tables you can see how close the t values are to the N(0,1) distribution (which is given at the bottom of that page).
