Hi, I'm just about to bury head back into those books, but before I go jumping into things maybe someone can help me. What chapters need to be read in CT3 for CT6 and visa versa? Cheers
there isn't anything you need to read in CT6 before CT3, but, if you haven't done much stats before I'd suggest going through at least the first half a dozen chapters of CT3 before getting stuck into CT6. The topics in CT3 you'll need in CT6 include Moment generating functions etc, method of moments, mixed distributions, poisson processes and more. I think its only chapters 2-7 of CT6 where you'll need some of the prior knowledge from CT3 though, so you could always leave them to last.
by the way, I just saw on another thread that CT6 is changing quite a bit for the April 10 sitting, so the chapters I referred to may no longer apply.
