Discussion in 'CT1' started by Charu maheshwari, Dec 21, 2017.

  1. I appeared for ct1 this september but didnt cleared it , i scored 55 and the passing cut off was 60 but i think i deserve more than 60 and should have cleared it so is there any procedure of rechecking ? If there is any then let me know?

There is an appeals process but a) its expensive and b) success rate of appeals is pretty low. 55 is also quite a way from the pass mark so I think its unlikely 2 markers would be that far off in one of the early exams which are mathematical/ not very subjective answers. So yes there is an appeals process on the institute website if you are keen to, but I think you would be wasting your time and money.

  3. But I am keen in knowing the procedure , Can you tell me what it is ?

You will have already been double blind marked and since you scored 55 you would have also have been marked a third time by one of the chief examiners. Therefore the chance of a mistake is pretty negligible.

The process of applying can be found on the Profession's website.
