   Hi,
   
   When tackling Markov chain questions in the part B exam, will they specifically ask us to find the solutions using basic R functions? Or do we have the liberty in choosing between markovchain package functionality and basic R functions to arrive at the solution?

   Hi George
   
   Unless the question specifies a particular approach or method should be used (which I would not expect to the be case), then I understand that either approach of basic R functions or the markovchain package would be acceptable.
