I'm not understanding why I'm wanting a matrix of a successes and failures rather than successes and total trials. And I guess the question really is when should I be using one over the other?

The solutions and my marker's feedback just state that this is needed and to refer to the summary sheet on PBOR, the summary sheet also doesn't answer my question, please could I get some help?

I've gone back over my notes and the videos on PBOR but I don't see anything on this.

The matrix is of observed data, so how many successes and failures we observed.
I can't think of when it would be successes and trials.
