We have restructured the course from 2015 to 2016. The course has been restructured with the aim of making it easier to progress through the material – this includes re-ordering and slimming down the text by moving material into self-assessment questions. Anyone who has already fully studied the course in 2015 can stick to their current set of notes etc. Your 2015 notes are perfectly fine to use for 2016. Same text books, same additional reading etc. You do need to make a couple of minor changes to update the Core Reading, see https://www.acted.co.uk/docs/2016/CMP Upgrade/ST9-PU-16.pdf Anyone who studied in 2015 but did not complete the course, struggled to get through the material or wants a fresh start might like to try the new materials. If you would prefer a 2016 version you can buy one at a reduced rate see https://www.acted.co.uk/paper_cmp_upgrade.html Impact on Assignments: There is a new assignment question in Assignment X1.The in-depth material for this question (on systemic risks and contagion) was in Chapter 9 in 2015 and has been brought forward to Module 3 in 2016. You may wish to review Chapter 9 (2015) before attempting X1. The only other assignment question that has been “brought forward” is X2.6 on value at risk (Chapter 10 in 2015 notes). So, you may wish to read ahead to Chapter 10 before attempting assignment X2.
