    Can someone please explain to me how did we get the value of 1.96 in the confidence interval (x bar)±(standard deviation)/√n in PDF page 454.

    How do we read these data off from the tables?
    Suppose for 99% confidence interval how do we find out the corresponding value?

    95% confidence interval means 2.5% either side. Read these values from page 162 of the Tables.
