Has anyone any throughts on the most likely topics to come up on this paper. Given its nature some chapters and concepts will naturally work better than others. 1. Run Off Triangles 2. Stochastic Models of Investment Returns 3. MVPT / CAPM Top 3 most likely for me. Any thoughts? Also, how many questions are on the paper?
I'm expecting something to do withe derivative payoffs, maybe plotting payoff diagrams for a portfolio of options. The specimen paper focuses on options, so I'd be suprised if there wasn't at least one question on it. The specimen paper has 3 questions, it can be found here: https://www.actuaries.org.uk/studying/curriculum-2019/actuarial-mathematics . I think the paper in April will have a similar structure.
