Hi This years April 2024 paper A contained 2 questions (Q1 ii, iii and Q5) that were out of syllabus content. Paper B Question 1 also examined knowledge from the removed syllabus objective 'Topic 3 - Stochastic investment return'. The IFoA issued a statement concluding they agreed Paper A Question ii) and iii) were out of syllabus content but not Question 5). They have not issued a statement regarding Paper B. I have emailed the IFoA stating I believe their conclusion is incorrect and raising concerns about Paper B however I am yet to receive a response. Is there anything the ActEd tutors can do to support us students with this query? Thanks in advance
We understand that a number of individuals/organisations have shared their thoughts with the IFoA. At the end of the day, they are the examining body and have the final say on such matters. No doubt the treatment of these questions has been discussed in detail at the Examiner and Marker Meetings. Admin
