Hi all,

Would anyone know of a big list of excel formula which come in handy for questions on the online exam?

Would come in very useful to have something to hand on the day :)

Thanks!

My advice is
Just know your work very well. You cannot be wasting time and checking fomulas in your piece of paper. But if you are really struggling I advice you to have your summary notes next to you on the exam day (combined meterial pack from Acted have summary at the end of each chapter). So let say the excel question is based on the mean-variance portfolio and you are required to quote/use the formular for the proportion invested in asset A under the minimum variance portfolio. So what you will do is page through you summary notes and find this formula and use it.
Or let say a long excel question wants you to calculate the expected shortfall given that the shortfall occurred. Again you will quickly page through your summary notes and find this formula and use it.

So as you can see, anything can happen in the examination. You have to know you work and theory very well in order to not waste time checking your fomulas.

Hi Aaron

Do you have access to the Paper B Online Resources for CM2? There's a document in there called "Introduction to Excel". Section 2 of this contains useful Excel Formulae. Does this help?
