Chart under section 4.3 in chapter 17

    Firstly, is the core reading wrong to say that the 50-54 represents young driver responses and 16-20 middle-aged drivers, whilst it should be the other way around(as indicated by the numbers)?

    Secondly, if the core reading is right, then I need some help as to how to interpret the chart. What is meant by the response here? Is it the claim size of claim frequency? and what does the y-axis mean?

    Your help will be appreciated.

    i think you're right about the chart - the text definitely describes it wrongly.

    I agree that the Core Reading text appears to be the wrong way round. It should say that the '16-20' line represents young drivers. ActEd will ask the Profession to confirm this.

    The Profession has confirmed that the Core Reading text is the wrong way round. The "16-20" line represents young drivers and the "50-54" line represents middle-aged drivers.
