Can anyone please explain to me that how is P(T0 > t) = probability that no event occurs between the time 0 and time t?

    Hi Aisha,

I don’t have a copy of the notes but if memory serves me well:

P(T0>t) represents a survival probability; the probability that the lifetime of T0 (a random variable) is greater than some point t.

Human beings are alive until we die (stating the obvious :)). This is the same as saying that no event occurs before some point t, ie the point we then die.

    Does that help...
