I refer to Chapter 16 Example on page 23. I tried various method to calculate the figure for t+1/2P30 for various t but failed to get the number as shown in the example. *Please advise the method used.
You need to use the tables. You are told to use ELT15(M) for mortality. For (33.5)p(30), you need to do l(33.5) / l(30). l(30) is given in the tables (97645). l(33.5) can be estimated by finding the average of l(33) - 97370 and l(34) - 97273. And similarly for (34.5)p(30).
