CAS exams

has anyone ever thought of doing the Casualty Actuarial Society examinations (for those of you who work in GI)? I've spoken to a few people who have qualified as an FCAS and are working in the UK - they've told me that the CAS (American) exams focus a lot more on GI and covers a whole lot more in GI than th UK exam style does. Fellows and Associates are well sought in London and Europe and this really separates the sheep from the goats when the majority of recruiters head hunt in this particular area! But - be warned the 9 or so exams take, on average, 10 years to get through!

Any chancers??
