I am currently looking at undertaking an actuarial analyst role in Pensions; but I am curious as to what prospects this qualification would offer long term. I know the qualification hasn't been around for very long but what does everyone think about how much progression one can expect to see in their career path with this qualification?

You are right it is hard to know and I think depends where in the world you are. But these things are created with input/suggestions from employers so they should have value. It will always demonstrate learning but it's up to you to keep up todaty beyond CAA. With it you obviously will never be a signing actuary but might rise up the ranks in administration maybe to head of customer services type level. Doesn't stop you doing other exams later on.... PMI or whatever.
