CA3 Course - Questions

I am planning on sitting the CA3 course. I have a few questions:

1) Is the written assessment on computer?

2) How many questions on the written assessment?

3) I would be interested to hear peoples general experience of the course. What prep did people do?

Further question

1) Is the written assessment open book?

In the early courses, you still had to write answers. A recent successful candidate told me this has changed and now they are typed.

As far as I know it isn't open book. At the end of the day, they aren't looking for strong technical knowledge. Rather the ability to convey complex ideas in a non-technical way. Therefore books would probably be more of a hindrance plus they could cause you time pressure if you need to do lots of reading - just look how large CA1 notes are!

You can use a computer (Windows operatng system) with Word and PowerPoint software available. You can use the computer to draft your slides (for assessment question 1) and your document (for assessment question 2).

(See the Sticky thread for other FAQs and answers!)

In recent assessments candidates were given access to the CA1 Core Reading so it is open book to that degree. Notes and other reference material cannot be taken into the assessment.
