Hi,

I've registered for CA2 ditance learning course to be held later this year & I have few queries .:confused:

1. Are there any assignments to be submitted before the exam date? If so, when will I receive them & will it be counted for the pass mark.

2. Are we allowed to use any advanced functions available within Excel or are there any restrictions? I've seen that the he solution given for Project 2 uses the Box-Muller algorithm to generate values from a standard Normal distribution. Does that mean that we can't use NORMSINV formula in Excel instead of Box-Muller?
 
To the best of my knowledge no complulsory assignments. But as you've found there are practice ones available.

You can use whatever formulae you like. But some have 'gremlins' in Excel that can throw up anomalies so beware these. To pass, you need something that is easy to follow, good audit trail etc.
