Bookwork questions and plagiarism

Good day

When an exam has many bookwork questions, will preparing answers using exact wording or with slight differences to the information in the core study material result in being penalised for plagiarism?

Hi - this is a question for the IFoA rather than for us, as we don't have any involvement in the examination process.
What I would add though is that there would seem to be much less likelihood now (in the open-book exam environment) of being asked 'bookwork questions'. Rather, you are more likely to be tested on your knowledge of the course through your ability to adapt and apply those ideas within a given scenario or context.
